Purpose of the STSM: The aim of this STSM is to learn in situ electrophysiology techniques in murine skeletal muscles to establish a standardised operating procedure for the Popplewell Lab at Royal Holloway University of London. This will be a useful tool for assessing therapeutic effects of antisense oligonucleotide approaches on muscle function in several murine models of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy and Oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy.
